In search of social activity – my after Geneva trip notes (part v)

Bonjour my friends !!
I continue with my posts about the recent trip to Geneva very slow, but absolutely confidently with pauses here and there – I mix these posts with other posts not exactly connected with this trip.

During this trip I wanted to find some social activity hidden between blocks of the city. As I said before – the first time was kinda crumpled in terms of to go free and to get lost there. We were busy with the exhibition of my friend – life and street photographer and other nice things of the first visit and the first experience plus travel along the Geneva lake and to France.

This time everything was dedicated to Geneva and walks with the goal to feel the vibe of the city, that I missed once. This time I managed to be prepared better and checked before my flight where I can find some skatepark and live rock music performances avenue. I wasn’t lucky with the music, but I found a skatepark very close to my friend’s living place and spent there around a couple of hours – this day weather still was dry and very comfortable for every kind of outdoor activity. But the big park was pretty empty with just a few dozens of young sportsmen sitting here and there and jumping from time to time. I had a very nice conversation with one guy and he explained me the nuances of this place and when is the best time to come there. Well – the next day the long and tedious rain began and I stopped to think about to go there again.

In additional to the skatepark, with the help of my friend Jeremy, I found the Giant Chess Boards in the Parc des Bastions, located in the center of Geneva. The wonderful think about this park that the people come to play chess even during pouring rain and stand around the Huge Boards with their umbrellas.

Here is some social activity of Geneva :

And another cold and windy evening I discovered for myself the place that I sure will want to visit next time when I will be again in Geneva. I talk about wonderful Grand Pré – Les Grottes – named as “bohemian Grottes neighbourhood” in one of the TripAdvisor’s articles about. It wasn’t easy to choose the right beer from the great 20 available from draft beers in Au coin mousse and wasn’t easy to stay too close to Didi performing fireworks near the Squad with the live music performance – yes, finally I found what I wanted, just different kind of music.
