new year’s eve 2017 with Electric Zoo and The Great Machine

hello long-awaited 2017, its already here but nothing special can happen just in a few seconds between an old and new year and actually – people still the same people so, personally i don’t expect anything new or more positive with a changing of the number. my new year’s eve i spent with a few friends and two awesome local rock bands in Levontin7 – TelAvivs music basement avenue. Electric ZOO and The Great Machine were perfect addition to each other, very different in style of music and the vibes of performance. the owners of the place have changed something in their fog machine and during almost 3 hours of event the stage seemed like underwater scene – to shoot in this conditions was absolutely difficult with both – automatic and manual focusing…

some time ago i changed my style of shooting of live performance events – i do it in the same style as i photographed street some time ago – less iconic and epic (but yes i always have some epical images in every session) but more from the first person view. i love to represent the feeling and the mood of the happening around and don’t worry much about perfect focus. this time i put more then usual images to one single post but i hope you will have enough patience to browse this page all the way down. by the way – this is the first time when i mix my color and black and white photography in the same post…

be strong and enjoy the rock’n’roll:

  1. Love the energy in these pictures, the black & white ones are defenately my favourites. I have visited a lot of rock festivals and I think you really nailed the mood and energy here. Such a great work!

    1. I decided to put a little bit more documentary and alive stiff from this event here. I love what is going around the scene and in the time of short pauses between songs 😉 thank you very much Axel for the careful looking also !

      1. Hey Victor, you really should! The Israli underground rock scene would give the New York scene a run for the money, based on what I see in your photos! 🙂
