Experimenting with Holga camera and ilford PANF 50 film – p1.

 

This roll of PANF 50 film waited for me inside the Holga camera for two long weeks, then, an idea suddenly came to me, and I realized it to life in just two days. of the Yom Kippur Day Holidays witch extended last weekend to full four days of not going to the office. The only first shot I took in the Old City of Jaffa the day before, and two shots taken somewhere in Jerusalem on the morning of that same day. I went out for this experiment armed with a bicycle, a bandana on my head, and a bunch of ideas. Despite the September it’s still was more than 30C and the sun was blazing like in summer – the reason of why i put the bandana to cover my head, i never did this before for my walks or bicycle rides.

The idea was to use for my multi exposures some different techniques, or to connect the regular one with something different, interesting way of using this camera. I love some of the results i got, and have to “polish” then next time with the corrected compositions and understanding what is going on. The last image of this post is visually explaining what and how i tried to achieve. Well some images are taken with the regular technique of taking images. Sometimes i loved to have the photographed object as is, without any additional optical effect. Finally this camera is good enough to bring a misty mood and atmosphere to every object.

I developed this roll at the same day. And for the developed process i used to add some more experimentation – i prepared again this crazy mix of Rodinal and HC110 in one cocktail. 3ml+3ml, semi-stand process, gentle agitation every 20 minutes – twice during one hour of the process.
