And some more life photography from Athens – part iii.
I sit against the blank notebook page. The clock shows me 00:00. Good timing to start with the new post, although I’m not a person of signs. But I start writing, I don’t even know where the story will take me today. As an artistic background for the writing process I put an album “Together” of Jane band. Not really helps me to write the text, but it amazing for the night environment.
Today i continue with the series of photographs i brought from my trip to Athens. Now, when the time is distances me from the days of the trip, i love the images much more, even i sure that Athens has greater potential for street photography. I saw nothing, I spent very little time on the streets of this wonderful city, i got nothing about the habits, the traditions, people and the food of this conglomerate of ancient, old and modern. It’s just that modernity doesn’t seem pretentious, or maybe it just seemed that way to me. Anyway, i’m relly willing to visit Athens again and dedicate myself to the city’s atmosphere, people, food, wine and beer. I don’t ask for more. Just a few days of the long walks wherever, to get lost without maps, to forget about the news, politics and everything that poisons our life.
Next day. The clock shows me 12:00. Due to the extremely hot weather today i stay at home. It’s around 33C, but the hot wind is feels like 40, so, the morning bike ride wasn’t enjoyable as usual. I just brewed a black coffee with cardamom on the open fire in my backyard and despite the color of the coffee, my day became a little bit brighter.
If you came across this post by accident, please check two my previous pseudotravel blogposts – part i and part ii. I think I have some more photo material for another post about my short trip. Yamas!

If you haven’t done it yet – please check my recently made photo slide show. These photographs of my good friend Nomi i photographed with both Ricoh GRii and the 15 years old old work-horse Canon 5d mkii cameras during the night session in the white dunes. Naomi is amazing Fire Art artist. take a look and preferably on large monitors, please.
And, additionally, my last photozine “Isolated in 2020″” is still available on the Blurb store. I photographed the images in the far 2020, during the second (or third) massive isolation due to the only known by our government methods to combat the pandemic. It was a Holidays time and our offices were closed, so the only thing I had to do was staying at home and walking around my village and taking images.

Okay what time is it now ?😄 i enjoy walking where has great atmosphere, life mostly .
I suppose Athens has become modern much more modern. But history has always remains .
Great series Victor . Hope you had good gyro 🥙 .
Thank you Naomi. I have never seen this city before so I can’t say how modern it is. But i found that they learned to preserve the city and not bring skyscrapers to any area of the city. Have a good time darling!
You are right about no skyscrapers .. A great point of view 🙏
nothing obscures the horizon ;-)))

It was a group of tourists visiting Acropolis and their language was out of my understanding but it seems like their guide wanted to ask them something about something;-)))
Nicely curated group, Victor. Your handling of blacks here shows a deft hand
Thank you for taking a look and for the kind words John… BW is how I see the world ;-))
