The final series of the life photography from Athens – part iv
Everything comes to an end – this time I am finishing my pseudo-travel series of life photography moments captured in Athens, where I visited a few weeks ago. Conclusion – I need to go there again as soon as possible.
It’s funny because I took the same type of pictures there as I did here in my country, and sometimes when I see my shots from Athens, I really feel like the viewer can easily get confused or left wondering where exactly they were taken. Well, the Acropolis is very recognizable, but everything else could be from anywhere.
Perhaps that’s why I always describe my photography taken during the trips as pseudo-travel photography. It never focuses on historical sites or looks like postcards from tourist traps. The same thing happened with my photographs in Geneva, Munich, Barcelona, Prague. I can’t say this about Ethiopia. It can be recognized as a watermelon in a cucumber field.
BTW, about Ethiopia. I still have a lot of footage I shot there that has never been published anywhere. Today i started a new sorting by catalogs for the future posts. Thank you to my good friend Naomi, who reminded me about during our last conversation on IG. After the next few blog posts, I’ll work on selection 80-100 images to print for my next photo journal with the photographs from this trip to Ethiopia. But these are plans for the near future. For now, we’re still on the streets of Athens.

If you haven’t done it yet – please check my recently made photo slide show. These photographs of my good friend Nomi i photographed with both Ricoh GRii and the 15 years old old work-horse Canon 5d mkii cameras during the night session in the white dunes. Naomi is amazing Fire Art artist. take a look and preferably on large monitors, please.
And, additionally, my last photozine “Isolated in 2020″” is still available on the Blurb store. I photographed the images in the far 2020, during the second (or third) massive isolation due to the only known by our government methods to combat the pandemic. It was a Holidays time and our offices were closed, so the only thing I had to do was staying at home and walking around my village and taking images.

Awesome photo from the street . And so true Acropolis is easy to recognize as from Greece then other photos are exactly our daily from street . Playing cards, eating ,falling leaves .. etc etc. its the life can be always the same no matter where it is.
Awww yes you still have many from Ethiopia How wonderful Victor .
Look forward to see them.
Thank you Naomi !
Great street shots Victor, love the guy looking at the statue, almost mirroring the pose. Looking forward to seeing your Ethiopia shots!
Thank you Fraggle for the kind words. I could stay behind this statue for hours, taking interesting images of people’s faces and poses while looking at this huge piece of ART. The Ethiopian series (actually many) is already almost here. Will start posting in a few days 😉
Another great set of images! I don’t have much opportunity for street photography, perhaps I should get out a little more!
Thank you Steve. Sure this genre needs a lot of time for walking and observing and i really also need to walk more with my camera 😉
