Light rail in Tel Aviv – last day of the Maariv Bridge.

One week ago i started a series of the posts about a huge reconstructions of the traffic system in the center of TelAviv. i started this documentary project by my own initiative and i will continue it in my own freestyle and will stop it absolutely spontaneously – this is a positive aspect when you’re unattached.

Anyway. It happened today at early morning, when a few thousands of nighters came to see and “celebrate” (everyone at his own way) a directed collapse of the 39 years old Maariv Bridge. police and city administration created a few levels of the distance on which one can come closer, but to the closer (hottest VIP) positions were allowed to enter only with some identity of i have no idea why to categorize people for some fckuing (sorry) explosion. actually also explosion was grotesque, and almost not visible from the side – the bridge just collapsed raised in the air a little cloud of dust. The action began with a delay of 20 minutes during which people stood with a camera in his outstretched hands. anyway – i was so angry because of this causeless “castemization”.

No one came to sell to spectators food, but was an opportunity to pray. Initially my interest was a people and collaboration and not the explosion so everything just worked out very well for me.

Enjoy the gathering :

  1. Regardless what problems arise – you always find a solution to shoot a brilliant reportage! I don’t have a favorite, because it is too hard to say which one, but the last one of the beautiful old lady on her scooter made me smile. It is like a peaceful ending of the spectacle.
And not to forget, Victor: These V.I.P. things happen here as well, and no one can explain. It’s the money… Out new building at the University will be officially opened next week. But those who do all the daily work are not allowed to be there, only the Professors, but not us normal people. We don’t exist, but without us the whole thing wouldn’t work… I have 13 months to work until retirement and next week I will not be there, as my vacations start today… Better for them 😉
