One week before the Coronavirus hysteria – Jerusalem in colors.

Well, i’m not going to write this word in the continue of this post. And its really more correct to say COVID-19 and not to call the terrible situation by the word “hysteria”, neither “panics”, nor “disaster” or “THE END”. We will survive for sure.

I photographed this series during my latest visit to Jerusalem just a few weeks ago – now it feels like a long-long time ago. The sellers of the old City market already started complaining about the lack of sellers – mostly tourists, looking for exotic souvenirs, goods, and stuff. Some big groups of tourists still walked along the narrow streets but seem like were less interested in buying.

I decided to make this series colorful because of the different reasons. First of all – I shot RAW, so the colors are always available during the first preview of the photographed results. Another reason – in all these moments the colors are not beautiful, oversaturated spots or distracting blot, but something that carries information in these colors and not interfere with the geometry of the forms creating compositions. And the last reason – the funniest – I have enough black and white images from this visit for the next post :-))

  1. Wow 🔥these are great Victor! Interesting that colors are vibrant but yours are yet so much more dramatic!

  2. I´m not sure what´s more dangerous, the virus or the hyteria here in europe and in germany too. Your captures are full of life and specially for the old town, or should i better say “Medina”, of Jerusalem. One of the best i ever saw from, like it very much. Stay well, because that’s the most valuable you have.

    1. Thankn ou Burkhard. you’re very right we are the most dangerous by ourself. I saw in videos what happened in the supermarket during the first days of the histeria. Nothing change us. Not the progress of civilization and the society. We dont care about each other.
Stay safe my friend and take care.

  3. Victor, beautiful images as always. Hard to think of what those streets must look like now. Take care my fellow blogger and photographer and lets continue showing the world as it is. A beautiful place.
