expired Fujichrome Provia 400 tested with RicohGR

a few years ago i got a bunch of already expired various 35mm color film and all this time stocked all rolls in my fridge – i was very busy with self-developing of black and white stuff but now decided to give a try to these Provia and Velvia rolls dated year 2005. i had no idea how properly these rolls stocked during the long period before i purchased them, so i tried one single roll of Fujichrome Provia 400 RHP iii. i noticed two inconvenience – to be concentrated on the scenes with a color and to wait for the developed resul from the local lab. one very sad fact – there is only one place in TelAviv where it is still possible to develop slides film. and – I do not know anything about the origin of the orange line on a few frames.

enjoy these few slides i chose from the whole roll..

  1. Yes!!.
I remembered the old or expired film. Is it slide or is it photograph. It looks like slide film (project on public, on projector slide), anyway it made me remember the 70, or 80 years!. Thanks Victor!

    1. I also used a lot an ancient slide projector and had a lot of slide films at home in 70s was funny time of a records, data tapes and the only film 😉 thank you for the comment Carlos !

  2. I usually avoid colours, but I’ll consider to try some expired Velvia on my Contax T3 this summer. Your picture of the sea is great, has a lot of nice shades: worth trying some colour. Thank you for sharing!

    1. Same here i dont like to mess with the colors especially with muted and vivid, vintage. but i will try again. Hope to get more portraits soon. Thank you very much and good luck with your try !

      1. My father was a master with colors: he was able to wash them out and give you the same effect of a black and white film. I’m partially color blind and (mostly) hard to understand his lessons. Thank you very much to you and enjoy!

  3. Love the ocean shots! They definitely have that vintage feel. Looking forward to the Velvia shots.

    1. Thank you very much. I used two film cameras during this sail. This camera and Horzon202 loaded with BW. even in BW the ocean shots are very alive and there is a feeling of the color.
