Fomapan 200 exposed with the fantastic Holga camera part-XVIII.
And finally the long awaited (also by me) roll of the Fomapan 200 emulsion exposed with my Holga plastic camera. My promised attention to this series was interrupted by several posts came in out of order. I planned it earlier and even wrote earlier that I already have 3 rolls developed, scanned and impatiently waiting to appear before you.
I’m thrilled to know that this old-school pastime of blogging is still alive. I use a self-hosted platform based on WordPress that is connected to a WordPress application, so many people will be able to find my blog and I able to read their posts as well. And for my surprise, very often I find new bloggers who publish posts about photography, including analog photography.
And some short technical part. Many of my recently developed Fomapan rolls are covered with a black rash visible also in these images in the highlights. But some frames remained clear. Next time i will use ilford HP5 with the same Holga and Rodinal semi-stand process with the goal to isolate one of the component – Fomapan film. Even, i got these dots on various emulsions of the Foma film – 100, 400 and this time on 200. But, i still have to try replace something. Maybe my Rodinal (AGFA R09 Studio) is too old – i started using this bottle in 2017 and they usually promise very long shelf life, but who knows.

And finally the camera.

I actually had a similar experience with fomapan 200 (It was branded Arista EDU here); I opted not use it any more after that, so I stuck to the 100. Mine were taken in December of ’21, so I don’t know if it’s exactly the same thing.

Love these, the black spots don’t upset the picture, at least in my eyes! And now I’m going tto have to get my old Holga out and have a play!
