Jerusalem walk with Ricoh GR1s film camera – part i

Jerusalem is always great inspiration. this day was extremely hot but very massive by the number of people flooding the streets, market, coffee places and shops. we moved to the center of the city by the light train and started our walk staring at the sides. i used Ricoh GR1s film camera with preloaded Kodak 400TX film. black and white negative film is most suitable for me format that i can develop at home. from another side – i always (ok – almost always) shut B&W, so i don’t need something else. the whole series from this roll i divided too a few parts with goal not to be boring for my visitors.

enjoy the atmosphere of Jerusalem:

  1. It is fun to see your “everyday life” photos. It is like being there, in the middle of Jerusalem and it reminds me of my “have to visit list”…
    Have a nice Sunday, Victor!

    1. Paula! hope that it was far from to boring you 🙂
btw – there is no thing “ordinary life of Jerusalem” 🙂 it’s changing from moment to moment and always surprise me !
i visited here last weekend at night and was in two places located very close to each other. one was very energetic on the political and religious way and another one the crazy punk-rock-new-wave-rock party with hundreds of people, beer and happy-high vibrations. i shooted there and have some hard-core (again) stuff about !

  2. great scenes of everyday life, so dynamic, Jerusalem seems like such a busy city… clever compositions, as always!!
you develop the films yourself at home? this is so awesome… 🙂

    1. Hey Alexandra ! thank you for the kind words ! i learned to develop black and white negatives at home. i always wanted to do it by myself and now has this crazy idea also to develop the prints but not sure if i have enough place and time for this. i never developed film before and even i do it close to two years at home i still feel the high heartbeat when i open the tank and check the rolls. something mesmerizing in this moment !
