Jerusalem, the old City celebrating Ramadan 2021 – part i.

 
Hello here. As I saw now, the last time I posted something similar was on “March 23, 2020”
This particular weekend (23.04.2021) some parts of Jerusalem’s old city were crowded and felt like a Beehive. The area close to the noisiest Damascus Gate (or Sha’ar Shkhem) street market was absolutely impassable (at least for me).
 
This year Ramadan started when the lockdown restrictions have been lowered as much as possible. By the new public rules – the masks are not a must in the open arias, streets, and parks but only in closed places, or high-density of visitor’s places. It’s impossible to check and to know daily new rules and new renewed restrictions so you can see covered and uncovered faces in the same places. Seems like people a little bit confused and tired of these daily changes and also due to Ramadan days and the renewed confrontation between different nationalities in the city. Luckily I saw the only friendly faces during this few hours walk. The colorful food was everywhere wherever you look.
